Garden Rules

To help ensure that everyone at the community garden has a positive gardening experience, here are some rules to follow:

1. Watering - The Jonathan Association will provide main line hose/hoses for gardeners to use water off the spigots.

• Water will be provided this year from the residence at 110156 Stanford Circle. Please use the spigot on the WEST side of the house

• DO NOT LEAVE RUNNING WATER UNATTENDED. Make sure the spigot is turned off firmly at the house.

• Detach the hose from the house when you are finished watering. Coil up the end of the hose at bottom of hill in the grass by stake with red marking.

• DO NOT REARRANGE MAIN LINE HOSE OR HOSES. If there is a problem contact the Jonathan Association office.

• Watering to be done off MAIN LINE HOSE from spigots with hose or bucket. DO NOT REARRANGE SPIGOTS.

• Jonathan is providing a total of 3 hoses, one double hose (2 hoses joined) and one single hose. Be courteous with the use of these hoses. Coil up the  hoses and leave them along side (but out of the way) of the entrance to the garden.

• Failure to comply with MAIN LINE HOSE regulation and coiling will result in the garden being SHUT DOWN FOR THE SEASON.

• Please be courteous to your neighbors and water only 15 minutes at a time if someone is waiting for water.

• Front plots will allow back plots to be watered by running a hose along the edge or side of front plots (Front are closest to the center path).

• Try to only water the specific plants you want growing, reducing weed growth.

2. Please keep the area around the garden clean

• Trash and gardening materials (string, plastic containers, etc.) should be put into garbage can.
• Stakes, branches, and weeds are not to be placed in a garbage can. Please dispose of in the wooded area.

3. Please stay on trails on your way to the garden, DO NOT cut through residents’ yards.

• Vehicles must park along street
• Gardener’s motorized vehicles are not allowed on trails
• You may use wagons, wheelbarrows, etc. when hauling items to the garden
